Graham Walters - CEO
Graham is a former feature film producer and Head of Technology at Pixar Animation Studios. His introduction to computer graphics was as a programmer for NASA at the University of Pennsylvania. He has wide experience in several sides of the industry as a software developer, digital artist, production manager, producer, and studio executive. Career highlights include developing the first ever motion capture system for Jim Henson Productions, producing Finding Nemo which dethroned The Lion King as the highest grossing animated film of all time, and leading the Pixar technical group in launching development of the studio's second generation animation system.
Joe Marks - CTO
Joe has been an innovator in multiple contexts (academic, corporate, entrepreneurial) and multiple industries (defense, computers, electrical equipment, media & entertainment, e-commerce, healthcare). Career highlights include setting up and running Disney Research, the company's technological R&D group; and being CTO of Wētā Digital during the final production of Avatar 2 and the acquisition of the company by Unity for $1.6B in 2021. He earned an AB in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Computer Science, both from Harvard University.
Ronen Barzel - Chief Scientist
Ronen has 40+ years experience in research & development in a broad range of areas including computer graphics, digital audio, and animation production, with emphasis both on tools for artists and on software system engineering. His PhD work at Caltech pioneered the use of physics simulation in computer graphics. At Pixar, he worked on nearly all aspects of production and tools development—most visibly building the original Slinky Dog model but most significantly spearheading development of the first feature-film scale pipeline. He's also been a senior research engineer at Adobe and most recently Wētā Digital.
Gerard van Hamel Platerink - CFO
Gerard has three decades experience in finance. He started his career in banking with Kleinwort Benson in London, then moved to Salomon Smith Barney where he was an equity research analyst covering the technology sector. He co-founded AMV in 2002, a medical technology VC firm with ~$250M assets under management, before moving to Redmile Group in 2012. Redmile is a multi-billion $ investment firm based in San Francisco. At Redmile, Gerard focused on growth equity investing in healthcare technology companies. Gerard also has extensive Board experience including as Chair of two recent Nasdaq IPOs.
